LEON LOCKLEY

ABOUT
Leon Lockley is a Director of Photography, Camera Operator and Editor.
He has a high level of professional shooting experience and editing skills. Working in the past as a clapper loader, focus puller and as a spark and gaffer, he has gained a lot of on set experience, working on high profile shoots including TV credits with Channel 4 and the BBC and film credits including Jelly Dolly, Dead Man's Shoes, Mr Bojagi and many other short films.
He has had a varied career working with a range of clients: from major Pharmaceutical companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, to educational institutions and councils; as well as commercial clients and artists within the music industry such as Richard Hawley, 65DaysOfStatic and Roni Size. As an editor, he was originally trained in Avid but now primarily uses FCPX, Premiere Pro and related Apple software.
Due to his enthusiasm for audio and visual, Leon also has experience in sound recording and basic audio editing and is naturally a very keen photographer too. Adding another string to his bow, Leon also works as a musician, a singer-song writer. As a musician Leon plays the acoustic and electric guitar, bass, mandolin and drums as well as singing.
In his most recent role, Leon taught students of the UnIversity of Sheffield as a visiting lecturer and thoroughly enjoyed being able to pass on his words of wisdom, advice and professional knowledge. In the past he has also worked as a tutor with children and students of varying ages teaching basic camera and editing skills.
